The Knights of Columbus Fraternal Year extends from July 1st to June 30th the following year. An Officer's term is typically a one year term but it's common for members to be reelected two years in a row.

Family Director

  • Appointed by the grand knight, in consultation with the program director
  • Responsible for all Family based council programs
  • Keeps accurate records of the council’s Family programs including Food for Families and Family of the Month/Year, if applicable
  • Must complete all required Knights of Columbus Safe Environment training (kofc.org/safe) and must also pass a background check

 

Family of the Year

State councils recognize a family of the year at their state conventions. Subordinate councils must complete the Family of the Year Entry Form and submit it to the state council.
